Solid western big leaf maple tops the table with a walnut and maple base.
Bowties hold sections of the table and prevent it from splitting further.
The heartwood of the slab has a gorgeous orange color and pairs well with the burly figure.

A small shelf holds remotes, books and extra coasters. the shelf is made from bent laminated walnut that was sequence matched to make it seem like one solid piece.
The shelf itself is made from buckeye burl. this blue and grey toned wood is a subtle detail that paired well with the rest of the table design and makes it stand out from the rest.
48’’ X 27’’ X 16’’ tall. The legs are splayed and joined to the stretchers using wedged tenons. I employed similar joinery in the Lakeshore Coffee Table.
