The system is comprised of multiple parts. The autonomous forklift itself uses pre-existing I beam structures in current warehouses to travel along aisles. The skateboard communicates with the lift and takes packages from the lift.
The lift is based on a robotic arm system used in assembly plants all over the world. the lightweight 3D printed metal structure on the interior is designed to maximize strength and minimize weight.
The skateboard takes packages labeled and marked to designated locations, using color coded lines to track around the warehouse. The different locations have autonomous trucks waiting to ship the packages to the consumers.
