A challenging piece. This cabinet was in the works for several months, including back and fourths on the design and the build itself. The main hurdle was in the tambour. The weight of the door wants to slide down the track and there are a series of magnets on the interior, which allow the door to open to specific heights.

tambour door stops at the bottom of the top shelf

Solid walnut body construction with ash accents to frame doors and support the underside of the cabinet.

Custom brass nameplate, nailed into the back of the cabinet.

The shelf pins: two intended for a record player, two intended for a speaker.

The back of the cabinet has a slot for potential maintenance of the tambour door.
