The slab was sourced from a Maryland local, who came upon a storm felled 60 year old tree. The slab was then air dried for 10 years and now has a new life as a gathering place for family hangouts and cozy evenings.

Maple butterfly inlays were used to stabilize the stress fracture in the slab

The bark was removed and the edge sanded to make way for a shou sugi ban (fire) finish
