Solid walnut case with maple drawers and bowties. The entire case is dovetailed together and the bowties prevent the wood from splitting further.

The drawers are constructed with solid maple and dovetailed together with walnut plywood as the drawer bottom.

The case is joined at an 80 degree angle. The clients had thought the original perennial dresser had this angle. I added it as a design feature and it really made the whole piece come together.

The drawer faces are made up of one contiguous slab, sliced into fours. The top live edge acts as a drawer pull while the edge pulls halfway down open the lower drawers.

the drawers are all soft close using blum undermount hardware.

The initial rendering to confirm proportions and dimensions. 29’’ tall x 50’’ wide.

The base is constructed of two laminated 8/4 walnut boards on each side joined together by two maple bridges. These boards are then power carved to add the facets you see that catch the light differently.
